A Small Corner

I always wondered what it would be like to be a mom…growing a baby in my belly…giving birth…and then being responsible for such a tiny little life. I often thought it would never happen to me…I just couldn’t imagine it…Me…a mom?  In the year 2008, I finally experienced all the wonder and joy of being pregnant and giving birth to not one but two beautiful babies.

When I was born, I was blue. Of course I was blue, I’m a boy. Well, that’s not really why. I was blue because I had a little problem. The doctors thought my lungs were just underdeveloped so they put this crazy mask on my face to help me breathe better.  Little did they know the real problem was in my heart.

sweeper and Windows Tetris. I remember the day we got a CD-rom drive!

If you read the post about Eli, this is the serious face we were
talking about. This is how he is most of the day… only this time
he’s getting hungry.

Here is a silly video of Nolan making his new baby noises under his
baby Einstein playset.

Eli McIntosh was born on the 5th of December along with his brother Nolan, but they both have different stories to tell. We’ll be blogging lots about both of these rascals but first, we’d like to tell you the story of Eli and what he has become at just 3 months young.

When he was born, he was a mere 5lbs 15oz. He was a small creature to us and being new parents, we really were not sure what to do but give in to our parental instincts. I’m not sure how many of you have held a 5lb baby, but it’s a strange feeling holding such a small and fragile life in your palms. (more…)

As many of you already know, we gave birth to our beautiful baby boys (Eli Scott and Nolan Robert McIntosh) on December 5th (4 weeks early). Nolan was immediately taken to the NICU with what they thought was underdeveloped lungs but it turned out to be much more serious.
